Dear Diary,
Dad and I had arrived on a boat to the sound of beggars, and children screeching to get on the boat.Their irritating screaming had made my eardrums burst, like it was wanting to explode. The dusty foggy smoke from the engine boat invaded my nostrils. I sat there helpless, having the urge to cry. I felt such comfort beside my Beloved Dad, while I was afraid, he made me feel so SAFE! I could feel the rain and wind getting stronger as the ocean water ran into my burning eyes. The sound of police sirens gave me flashbacks of my past. I tremble with fear.
We finally arrived at our destination. With no home and no place to stay but the damp streets. There was nothing in my stomach but a thought of starvation and hunger. No food or shelter for my Dad. We only looked at the food we passed that had made my mouth invaded with water. My Dad and I gazed while hungry. I looked at my Dad, upset and pulling a sad face and sighed. We went for a little walk around such a warm, vibe town and the only thing we had was my Dad’s yellow umbrella that he carries everywhere for him and my safety.
Dad and I continued to walk. I would occasionally skip happily along with him, until we stepped on a front porch that I have never seen in my life. Dads happiness changed quickly, like a wave of emotions rained down on him. He knelt and looked at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I stood, confused. What was happening? Getting up, he took his yellow scarf and wrapped it around my neck. Sighing he looked at me one last time before walking off, leaving me behind, devastated. He kept looking back at me with a guilty face. Will he come back for me one day?
